8th Grade Class of 2026 Music Video

I made this video for my Multimedia Applications class in 2022 as a sophomore. I had a choice to use the footage from my eighth-grade year or the eighth graders now. I decided to use the footage of the eighth graders now because I did not want to have to look back on all the embarrassing footage of myself. I knew I wanted to pick a song that was exciting and upbeat. I went with a song called “I Love It” by Icona Pop ft. Charli XCX. I picked this song because it has a really good beat and makes me happy when I hear it. The part of my music video that I’m most proud of is the beginning. It has lots of quick beats so I chose some good clips and matched them to the beat of the song. I think it turned out well and is a strong intro to the music video. The song I chose was pretty fast so sometimes it made it tricky to match the clips to the song. It helped me to learn that if I take time and listen to it a couple of times then it would help me to be able to match it up better. In the future now I know it may be better to pick a bit of a slower song. If I did the project over again something I would do differently is to pick a slower song and try to use more effects. I do not think I used the effects iMove has to my advantage. I used a few effects thought-out the music video but if I had to do it again I would spend more time adding professional-looking effects. I would do these two things to help create a more entertaining and professional-looking music video.
